The villa 6-person sauna — thermowood dark, onyx alight

This class is drawn for properties with both space and taste: a 2.4 × 2 m cabin walled in dark thermowood, one onyx surface glowing from within, and a digitally sensed Harvia 8 kW that holds the temperature almost without a wobble.

Every figure is a starting benchmark drawn from our own 2025–2026 builds — room size, material grade and electrical readiness will move it either way. The exact itemized quote follows a free measurement.

Thermowood earns its place on more than looks. Baked at around 212°C with no chemicals, the timber comes out drier and more stable — a property worth real money in a city as humid as Surabaya. Its deep brown swallows the light, and then the single backlit onyx wall gives it back as a warm glow. LED strips under both bench tiers finish the composition without a single fixture glaring in your eyes.

Buyers split into two camps. The large houses of Darmo and premium Pakuwon Indah units install it as the quiet version of a family room. Boutique guesthouses and private-suite operators, meanwhile, have begun treating it as their signature spa room — the one cabin that makes guests extend a stay. For that kind of light commercial duty the ceiling sensor and control panel earn their keep: staff monitor the heat from outside without opening the door. The 11,000 VA requirement makes an electrical audit our first step, and if capacity must rise, the process is priced into the quote from the start.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Onyx in a hot room — will it crack or fade?

Onyx is actually at home in the dry climate of a Finnish sauna. We keep it clear of the heater’s direct radiation, mount it on a frame that allows expansion and contraction, and light it with high-temperature-rated LED rather than household fittings. The result is a stone panel that stays whole and stays lit for years.

We run a guesthouse — can this villa class handle rotating guests?

It can, and that is where the digital sensing earns its keep: stable heat between sessions, staff monitoring from outside, and a night-time drying schedule that is easy to set. For heavier guest flow than that, the 10- or 12-person formats make more sense — we will help you size it at the survey.

What budget should we prepare?

Indicatively IDR 110–150 million installed, moving with the onyx area and finishing details. That includes the Harvia 8 kW, digital controls, lighting, safe electrics and a written 2-year warranty. See where it sits against other formats on the pricing page.
